Display Setup

If you work on the Pullman campus or are arriving in Pullman on March 27:

Display Setup—March 27, 2008

Displays must be set up between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on March 27, 2008.

If you work off of the Pullman campus and will not arrive until the day of the event:

Display Setup—March 28, 2008

If you work outside of the Pullman area, you are welcome to set up your display 8:00-8:30 a.m. on March 28, 2008. Please call 509-335-0989 or email herrlingerj@wsu.edu to make arrangements for this later setup time.

Public Display—March 28, 2008

Displays will be exhibited in Bohler Gym from 9:00 a.m. to noon on March 28, 2008.

Poster Presentations

Display space will be pre-assigned. Posters will be mounted on display boards (which will be provided). Heavy-duty tacks will be supplied. Any other mounting supplies will be the responsibility of the presenter. Depending on the size of a poster, presenters may share display space with another presenter. If the number of poster submissions exceeds the number of available display boards, posters may be presented on easels (which will be furnished.)

Other Presentations

Presentation formats other than posters are encouraged from faculty, staff, and students whose work lends itself to a display format other than a poster. On the submission form indicate special supplies (Internet, electricity, tables, easels, etc.) and/or space needs. The Academic Showcase committee cannot provide equipment (i.e., computers, projectors, CD players, DVD players, screens, etc.). Please note: if a DVD or CD is being played, please provide headphones for viewers so that they may easily hear the presentation.

Participation Requirements

At a minimum, one of the authors must participate in the Academic Showcase during a one-hour time period to be assigned. Presenters may select a preferred time on the submission form. Every attempt will be made to schedule authors at their preferred time, but this may not be possible in all circumstances.

Display Removal

Displays must be left up until noon. Each presenter is responsible for removing all presentation and mounting materials between the hours of noon and 2:30 p.m. on March 28, 2008. The committee is not responsible for any materials left at Bohler Gym after this time.
